About Us
Sydney Vintage Dance Studio was founded in 2015 by Sydney powerhouse Sheena Miss Demeanour.
We are an adult learning studio for all students alike, from the ultimate beginner to those more experienced. Our studio offers premier tuition in vintage dance styles such as Burlesque, Feather Fan dancing, showgirl, 20s Charleston, 60s GoGo, 70s Disco, 80s retro and more. As our teaching staff has grown we now also offer styles such as Flamenco, Tribal Belly Dance, Ballet and Tap.
The instructors at SVDS are qualified and seasoned Sydney artists, that hold a high level of experience and knowledge in their styles. We also welcome guest interstate and internationally touring instructors to share their skills and knowledge with our students.
Our standard courses range from 4-8 weeks, mini terms or one-off specialised workshops. This offers our students the opportunity to learn at their own pace and to choose courses that suit them best. Do you want a taste of being on stage? We also offer performance courses, that gives our students the chance to showcase what they have learned at local events in and around Sydney.
